Erin and Alex are getting married tomorrow. Things don’t look quite how they pictured it when we took these engagement photos a year ago. Looking back it seems like everything was more simple. The hustle and bustle of our fast paced lives, the ability to hug your friends, (or a stranger), breathing without a mask…. I could go on. Instead let’s look at this beautiful couple, who won’t let a pandemic stop them from creating a happily ever after together.
Hometown Engagement Session
Last fall, when my friend Josh, (Childhood friends since birth? Our parents grew up together!), told me he was getting engaged I was thrilled. I was even more thrilled when he asked If I would photograph their engagement photos. I started dreaming of going down to Hunting Beach, the ocean and dreamy Southern California landscapes. I was happily surprised when Josh and Ryan wanted to come back home to Sacramento and take photos here. We happily planned for when they would be here during the holidays. Summertime Engagement
These two kids just got married! So now is obviously the right time to blog their engagement session! In the story of them, Tyler said that he noticed Emily first. It reminds me of a quote from J.D. Salinger ” She wasn’t doing a thing that I could see, except standing there, leaning on the balcony railing, holding the universe together.” May you continue to hold the universe together for each other.
