Erin and Alex are getting married tomorrow. Things don’t look quite how they pictured it when we took these engagement photos a year ago. Looking back it seems like everything was more simple. The hustle and bustle of our fast paced lives, the ability to hug your friends, (or a stranger), breathing without a mask…. I could go on. Instead let’s look at this beautiful couple, who won’t let a pandemic stop them from creating a happily ever after together.
Mountain Destination Wedding
Look at this gorgeous venue! This property, (the grooms parents)almost burnt down in a wildfire 6 weeks before the wedding! A private vineyard, breathtaking views, nestled between hills in the Wenatchee, Washington. The grooms parents spent a very intense few weeks re-landscaping the property before the wedding.
This wedding took place over labor day weekend last year. It started with an amazing rehearsal dinner coordinated and styled by the merry makers at Merriment Party Goods. The dinner was supposed to take place outside, on the beautiful grounds surrounding the home. The weather had other plans for us. The wind decided to pick up and blow soot from the burned hillside everywhere! Luckily, Brianne the chief merrymaker, had a plan b…and c. So we ended up moving the whole party inside. As you can see, it urned out amazing.
There were so many handmade details from this wedding, the wooden bowl in the photo below was just one of many that were handcrafted, by the grooms father, as wedding favors for the out of town guests.
So we hoped that by morning the wind would be gone, and we would be able to hold the ceremony as planned over looking the vineyard and the valley floor below. However, we woke up to rain. So, once again on to Plan B. The ceremony moved to the indoors. We moved furniture and rugs, dried off the chairs, created an aisle and a new Huppah from scratch.
The ceremony, was beautiful and full of meaning and steeped in culture and tradition. Dina and Mike chose to have both a celtic hand fasting ritual and tradtional Jewish wedding ceremony. It was simply one of the best weddings I have ever had the privilege to attend.
The reception was held at Mountain Spring Lodge immediately after the ceremony. It was joyful and emotional evening. There was singing, laughing, tears and fun. Mike and Dina, now share the same wedding anniversary as his paternal grandparents. They shared their reception with them
And finally… gorgeous pictures of the bride and groom.

Schools Out!
This guy just graduated high school a couple weeks ago. Ryan was so much fun to work with! He was up for anything. I asked him if he was secretly a model. He nailed every shot. Ryan is out heading out of state for college in the fall. And… Ryan wants to be a nurse. You know as a RN myself, I couldn’t have been more excited to hear that! Here is to your future Sir! Good luck and if you have any nurse questions… don’t hesitate to call!
Till Next time…

Party of 3
Some of life’s biggest surprises are our children. They bring with them all of our hopes and joys for the future. The surprise is sometimes in their arrival, but mostly the surprise is watching them grow and figuring out whom they will become. Welcome to the world little one!
And to you, beautiful mama, this image make my heart ache. It is love… tangible and real, captured forever through the lens.
Till we meet again
